One single line capturing human essence: our actions are largely driven by status-seeking, recognition, and other symbolic pursuits, which are deeply social in nature. Human behaviour cannot be understood without accounting for this. That’s why social science matters.

my research 

i am a researcher working at the intersection of sociology and economics, with a primary focus on labor market and employment research, social stratification, demography, population studies, and health. 

i hold a permanent position as a Research Scientist in Public Research Organizations. Previously, I worked as an analyst at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, the Spanish Ministry of Health and Social Wellbeing, 40dB., and Complutense University of Madrid. I have been a visiting researcher at EUROFOUND (Dublin) and the European University Institute (Florence). i play music and writte songs. In 2025, I released my fist solo single as palmera noir. (estrellas y limones is available in spotify, applemusic, youtubemusic, tidal, bandcamp and other platforms), where I wrotte, produced, programmed and recorded all instruments and vocals. There is more on the way. In the past, we released an EP as Radio Pionyang.
